Privacy Policy
This policy explains how mbox-csv.com handles the archives you upload while converting email data to CSV. The goal is simple: process your file, deliver the output, and delete the temporary artifacts.
What we collect
We accept the file you upload (typically .mbox) and store it temporarily in a job-specific directory. No account is required and we do not log message contents beyond what is needed to generate the CSV. PST archives require manual handling—contact support before uploading.
How we use the data
- The converter parses headers (Date, From, To, Cc, Bcc, Subject, Message-ID) and writes them to
emails.csv. - Processing happens on isolated infrastructure so that other jobs cannot read your archive.
- The resulting CSV is zipped for download and never shared with third parties.
Retention
Both the uploaded archive and the generated ZIP are automatically removed after the download succeeds or within 24 hours, whichever comes first. Automated cleanup tasks run hourly to ensure no stragglers remain on disk.
Security
- HTTPS (TLS 1.3) is enforced across the site.
- Every job is assigned a random identifier that is required to download the export.
- Data at rest lives on encrypted volumes with access limited to the operator maintaining mbox-csv.com.
